At Penn State Brandywine, we are committed to providing a welcoming, encouraging, and empowering environment for students with disabilities to ensure equal access, full participation and reasonable accommodations for their academic pursuits.
Student Disability Resources (SDR) is responsible for coordinating support services, providing reasonable academic accommodations, and promoting disability awareness in the university community.
Penn State has an SDR office at every campus that provides accommodations and services for students with disabilities. Each SDR office requests and maintains disability-related documents; certifies eligibility for services; and determines and develops plans for reasonable accommodations such as academic adjustments, auxiliary aids, and/or services, as mandated under Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act (ADAAA) of 2008 and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.
